John Fickes ran for judge on the Summit County Court of Common Pleas in Ohio in 2012.

2012 election

Fickes defeated Pat Hart in the primary election, winning 51.09% of the vote.[1] He was defeated by Amy Corrigall Jones in the general election on November 6, receiving 41.81% of the vote.[2][3][4]

Education

Fickes received his undergraduate degree from the University of Akron, his master's degree in philosophy from the University of Detroit, and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.[5]

Career

Fickes began his career teaching at a high school in Toledo. After receiving his law degree, he joined the firm Brouse McDowell. He was a partner with the firm.[5]
