|- Safety: Our number #1 goal is to protect and care for our community. During this COVID-19 crisis we need proper preventive and supportive care; especially of our vulnerable children, seniors, and the physically compromised. We must also defend civil liberties by using the least restrictive interventions as we react to the current pandemic. We also need to remain vigilant against scapegoating, hate crimes, and the stigmatization of people as this pandemic runs its course. Safety also includes safe schools, vaccines, common sense gun laws, and safe neighborhoods.
- Infrastructure: We need to improve all aspects of our infrastructure: health care, supply chain and civil. Also, we need to rebuild our economic stability, manage the financial blow of this pandemic to hard-hit small businesses, city, and neighborhoods. We need to use this opportunity to bring Colorado infrastructure into the twenty-first century, with ecological wisdom, we can protect our climate, grow our economy, and improve our quality of life.
- Education: I view this current medical crisis, as our "Sputnik moment", now is the time to double down on our school STEAM programs (science, technology, engineering, arts and math). We need to ensure our children learn to applying creative thinking and design skills so that students can imagine a variety of ways to use skills into adulthood. We need to reinvest in our neighborhood schools, equipping our teachers with the resources they need get the job done right.
