John Frank McCartney

John Frank McCartney is a judge of the Eighth Circuit Court in Illinois. He was elected on November 6, 2012 for a term that expires in December of 2018.[1][2]
Education
McCartney received his undergraduate degree from Quincy University and his J.D. degree from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.[3]
Career
McCartney has worked for the Office of the Illinois Attorney General and as legal counsel for the state's Department of Revenue. In December of 2000, he became a Pike County State's Attorney.[4]
2012 election
McCartney was elected to the Eighth Circuit Court without opposition on November 6, 2012. McCartney was unopposed in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012.[2][1]
