John Fritchey
John Fritchey (Democratic Party) was a member of the Cook County Board of Commissioners in Illinois, representing District 12. Fritchey assumed office in 2010. Fritchey left office on December 3, 2018.
Fritchey (Democratic Party) ran for election for the 8th Subcircuit judge of the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. Fritchey lost in the Democratic primary on June 28, 2022.
Fritchey was a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 11th District from 1997 to 2010.
Biography
Fritchey was born on March 2, 1964. His professional experience includes working as an attorney, an adjunct lecturer in political science at Northwestern University, and assistant attorney general for the state of Illinois. He is a member of the Chicago Gateway Green Committee and Holy Name Cathedral, founder of the John Fritchey Youth Foundation, and vice president of the John G. Shedd Aquarium Auxiliary Society.[1]

Fritchey did not run for re-election to the 11th District seat in 2010. He ran for an open seat on the Cook County Board that vacated by Commissioner Forrest Claypool[2]. Fritchey won election to the Board on November 2, 2010[3].
2008
On November 4, 2008, Democrat John Fritchey won re-election to the Illinois House of Representatives District 11. He ran unopposed, receiving 38,824 votes.[4]
