John G. Ingram was a justice of the Kings County Supreme Court, Criminal Term in the 2nd Judicial District of New York. He joined the court in 2013. He served on the New York Court of Claims from 2003 to 2013.[1][2]

Biography

Ingram received his B.S. from Maritime College of the State University of New York in 1964. He then received his J.D. from St. John's University School of Law in 1969. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve from 1964 to 1995.[1]

Career

Ingram began his legal career in 1969 as an associate of the law firm of Burlingham Underwood Wright White & Lord. He then worked as a partner of Burlingham Underwood from 1976 to 1995. During this time, from 1989 to 1995, he was also a commissioner of the New York State Board of Pilot Commissioners. In 1995 and 1996, he practiced as a partner of Martocci & Ingram LLP. He then became a partner of Healy & Baillie LLP, where he practiced until his judicial appointment in 2003.

Ingram taught at the New York Law School from 1996 to 2003. He began teaching at the Cardozo Law School in 1999 and at SUNY Maritime College in 2008.[1]
