John G. Melbye

John G. Melbye is a Ninth Judicial District judge for Beltrami County, Minnesota. He was elected to this position in 2006 and re-elected in 2012. His current term ends in January of 2019.[1]
Education
Melbye received his B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota in 1992 and his J.D. degree from the Hamline University School of Law in 1995.[1]
Career
Prior to his judicial appointment, Melbye was a law clerk on the 9th Judicial District from 1995-1996 and 2002-2006.[1]
Elections
2012
Melbye ran for re-election to the Ninth Judicial District against challenger Diana Sweeney.[2] He beat Sweeney with 59.29% of the vote.[3]
