|- I am a strong conservative dedicated to fiscal responsibility - I want to bring some common sense from the business world to Alpine School Board - My priority number one is to stop Alpine School Board from raising our taxes - I also want the board to cut wasteful spending and prioritize teaching
- I am a long-time Pleasant Grove resident where my wife and I have raised our six kids- - My top priority is to stop Alpine School Board from raising our taxes
- We recently voted No on the $595 Million bond that the board requested, and they raised our taxes anyway - twice! - Alpine School District has plenty of money (over a Billion of our tax dollars) to do a great job without any tax increases - But just as he has repeatedly in the past, Mark Clement will likely vote to raise our taxes in the future
- If elected, I will never vote to raise our taxes - no more tax increases, period! - - We can avoid our taxes being raised if the board would cut wasteful spending from its billion-dollar annual budget - The board wastes millions of our tax dollars every year on extravagant school buildings - If elected, I will never vote for an extravagant school building - Over the last 7 years, Mark Clement's compensation for his school board seat went up drastically by 457%! - If elected, I will refuse any compensation for serving on the board - If elected, I will also vote to repeal the board compensation increases that the board members have voted for themselves
- - The board should free up money in the budget to prioritize what matters most - great teaching! - The budget should prioritize teaching by compensating teachers fairly and providing them with the resources they need - The school district has become bloated with unnecessary programs and layers of bureaucracy, such as their DEI program - If elected, I will vote to eliminate the DEI program at Alpine School District - If elected, I will vote to gradually scale down any other unnecessary programs and bureaucracy in the budget and shift those dollars over to support teachers and teaching resources
- We can avoid our taxes being raised if the board would cut wasteful spending from its billion-dollar annual budget
