John Joseph Gibbons (1924-1990) was a federal judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit.

Gibbons was nominated by President Richard Nixon on December 5, 1969, to a seat vacated by Gerald McLaughlin; he was confirmed by the Senate on December 17, 1969, and received commission the next day. He served as chief judge from 1987 until his death on January 15, 1990.[1]
