I am a West Texas Native and a true conservative. I have practiced law as a courtroom litigator since 1993. I spent 8 years in private practice, handling a broad range of cases, including family law, criminal law, DTPA claims, personal injury cases, and probate. In 2001, I joined the Lubbock County Criminal District Attorney's Civil Division, where I was responsible for civil litigation involving the County, its employees, nd its elected officials. In 2010, I moved to the City of Lubbock and continue to handle litigation. I have experience in every level of trial court, from municipal and justice courts, to county and state district trial courts, to the courts of appeals up to the Texas Supreme Court and Court of Criminal Appeals.
  • I will restore efficiency to the 72nd District Court by ensuring that cases are held to a strict trial schedule.
  • I will restore effectiveness to the 72nd District Court by ensuring that my rulings are supported by established law and will survive on appeal.
  • I will ensure access by reopening the courtroom to in-person, face-to-face proceedings, as a rule, with remote proceedings as the exception.
I am hardworking and I respect the trust and investment that the citizen taxpayers confer on me, as an elected public servant. I am pro life and pro second amendment. I respect the rule of law and I will not legislate from the bench. I will ensure transparency and fairness in everything I do.
