John H. Chronister

John H. Chronister was one of the Common Pleas Family Law judges of York County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania.[1] He retired August 6, 2010 after 23 years on the bench.[2]

Career

In March 1987 Chronister was appointed to the bench to fill a vacancy and was then elected to the court in November 1987.

During his two decades on the bench, Chronister presided over numerous homicide trials, notably including the prosecution of three men for the 1969 murder of York City Police Officer Henry Schaad and the acquittal of babysitter Shae Marie Keeney, who had been accused of killing two infants in her care.[2]
