John H. Ehrlich (Democratic Party) is a judge for the 8th Subcircuit of the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. He assumed office in 2012. His current term ends on December 2, 2030.

Ehrlich ran for re-election for the 8th Subcircuit judge of the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. He won in the retention election on November 5, 2024.

Biography

John Ehrlich received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 1980 and his J.D. degree from Northwestern University Law School in 1987.[1] He worked as an attorney for 24 years prior to his 2012 judicial election. In 2008, he became Deputy Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago.[1]

Ehrlich was elected without opposition on Nov. 6, 2012. He previously won the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012, receiving 35.23% of the vote in the six-way race and defeating incumbent Judge James L. Kaplan.[2][3][4]
