John Haefeli is an at-large representative on the Greeley-Evans School District 6 school board in Colorado. First elected in 2013, Haefeli won a new term in the at-large general election on November 7, 2017.

Haefeli coached basketball and taught social studies at a high school in the Greeley-Evans school district before retiring from the position. He has also served as an adjunct professor in teacher education at the University of Northern Colorado.[1]

Four of the seven seats on the Greeley-Evans School District 6 Board of Education in Colorado were up for nonpartisan general election on November 7, 2017. Incumbents Roger DeWitt, John Haefeli, and Rhonda Solis and newcomer Michael Mathews ran unopposed and won the four at-large seats.[2][3][4]

In an interview with the Greeley Tribune, Haefeli stated that his primary concerns were reversing recent declines in student enrollment and equalizing the quality of education for all students. He added that, "We need to do a little better job of communicating. Everyone needs to work together and be better at listening to each other. We need to be more positive. I see too much negativity from all directions. If everybody works together for our children, then we will be successful as a society."[1]
