John Hagan is a member of the Ohio State Board of Education, representing District 9. He assumed office on January 31, 2022. His current term ends on January 1, 2027.

Hagan ran for re-election to the Ohio State Board of Education to represent District 9. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

On January 31, 2022, Gov. Mike DeWine (R) announced new district boundaries for the Ohio State Board of Education as part of Ohio’s redistricting after the 2020 census. Hagan is a former Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives. He represented the District 50.
