John Hancock (Minnesota)
John Hancock was a 2014 judicial candidate for the supreme court in Minnesota.[1] Hancock is a Special Agent with the Department of Homeland Security, assigned under the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) St. Paul, at the office in Grand Island, Nebraska.[2]

Hancock ran for election to the supreme court.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 42.9 percent of the vote. He competed against Wilhelmina Wright.

Education
Hancock received his J.D. from Hamline Law School (St.Paul) in 1983.[2]
Career
Hancock became a member of the Minnesota State Bar in 1983, and the United States District Court Bar, District of Minnesota, in 1986. After law school, he started a private practice in Minnesota, focusing on bankruptcy, real estate/land use and family law. He later became a special agent with the Department of Homeland Security.[2]
