John Raymond Hargrove, Sr. (1923-1997) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.[1]

Hargrove was nominated by President Ronald Reagan on January 30, 1984, to a seat vacated by Shirley Jones; he was confirmed by the Senate on February 9, 1984, and received commission the next day. He assumed senior status on February 21, 1994, and served in that capacity until his death on April 1, 1997.[1] Hargrove was succeeded in this position by Catherine Blake.
