John Harper
John Harper (Republican Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Texas' 4th Congressional District. He lost in the Republican primary on March 1, 2022.
Biography
John Harper served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1980. Harper earned an associate degree in general education from the Municipal University of Omaha in 1966, a B.S. in accounting from Syracuse University in 1968, an M.A. in finance theory and economic modeling from the University of Alabama in 1971, and an Ed.D. in higher education executive administration and financial management policy development from the University of Houston in 1996. His career experience includes working as an independent consultant, the chief financial officer of The Cooper Institute, and a vice president, executive vice president, and chancellor with the Texas A&M University system.[1][2]
