John Hosta participated in Ballotpedia's candidate survey on February 26, 2018. The survey questions appear in bold, and John Hosta's responses follow below.[9]
What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
“ | 1) Maintain Social Security 2) Protect U.S. Industries |
” |
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?
“ | To free up our energy construct, our health care system, and our food system from manipulation.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[11]
|
” |
Ballotpedia also asked the candidate a series of optional questions. John Hosta answered the following:
Is there a book, essay, film, or something else you would recommend to someone who wants to understand your political philosophy?
“ | To begin to understand my political philosophy you would have listen to John F. Kennedy’s speeches and political writings, of course, apart from his tax policies.[11] | ” |
“ | The greatest legacy that I could possibly leave behind would be to un-privatize the Federal Reserve which would, once again, force our banking construct to become Constitutional.[11] | ” |
“ | Let me get precisely to the point. We have a 21 trillion debt that is unprecedented in U.S. in relation to GNP. The only other time we, as a nation, incurred such a debt is when we were spending due to defending our nation at war. The reason we have this incredible debt is because we have incompetent leadership that has taken radical, radical broad economic policies that has created our debt. Our leadership, as well as all my opponents both Republican and Democrats, embrace a mindless approach to economics untested in the years prior to the mid 60's. We have a corrupted banking construct, corrupted energy construct, corrupted health care system, ignorant tax structure, and a food system that requires a complete inspection.[11] | ” |
“ | I support term limits.[11] | ” |
