Biography
John Imes was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He earned an associate degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 1985 and a bachelor’s degree from Carroll University in 1991. Imes’s career experience includes working as the co-founder and executive director of the Wisconsin Environmental Initiative.
Imes served as President Pro Tem, Finance Committee Chair, and member of the Plan Commission for the Village of Shorewood Hills. He also co-founded the Arbor House, which describes itself as “an environmental inn in Madison, WI.”[1]Finally, Imes has served as an advisor to the Climate and Energy Leadership Network of the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters, to the Edgewood College Social Innovation and Sustainability Leadership Program, and to the American Sustainable Business Council Climate and Energy Working Group.[2]
