I am John Jacob, running for US Congress, District 6. I love God, my family, and my country. I am deeply concerned that are nation is being destroyed before our very eyes. This is a huge reason why I am running for Congress to fight for change for the better, to fight hard to drag our nation back to the right to what is true, just, and our Constitutional Conservative values. I am a born again follower of the risen Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ saved my wife and me many years ago. We have 6 wonderful grown children and 5 precious grandchildren. We are lifetime residents of the southside of Indy and are very active in our church. I am a former IN State Representative. I worked as a sworn officer of the court for a government watchdog agency for over 28 years that audited government giving me extensive knowledge of how government works. My career involved auditing and managing audits cumulatively in the $100s of billions. I am a small business owner. My wife and I have done street evangelism for many years. We have been involved in abortion abolition/rescuing the pre-born ministry for several years; peacefully pleading as sidewalk counselors at abortion clinics and advocating and working towards abolishing abortion politically. We have been involved in foreign missions and various other ministries. I am the ONLY PROVEN TRUE Constitutional fiscal conservative NON-swamp grassroots Republican Congressional district 6 candidate who fought to end all abortion in IN.
  • ALL Americans first! Securing our borders and protecting all children, born and preborn
  • Border Policy; fighting to secure our borders and to fight the tide of the fentanyl/heroin crisis, sex trafficking, and terrorists coming across our border
  • Reigning in our out of control spending in our National Budget
Securing our national borders, ending abortion, reigning in out of control government spending, defending our 2A Rights, pushing back at government overreach, medical freedom and bodily integrity, protecting our children, veterans affairs, public safety, election integrity.
The risen Lord Jesus Christ. I look up to Him because He is God, my Lord, and my Savior, my closest friend; He is my perfect role model. He is the perfect example of a person of integrity, love, grace, truth, boldness, justice, compassion, mercy, and represents the heart of a true servant and what I want to reflect. Jesus is perfect!
Amazing Grace: The Story of William Wilberforce; the movie. This movie is about 18th/19th century English member of Parliament who fought tirelessly to abolish slavery. My thoughts and heart that Wilberforce had for abolishing slavery parallels with my heart and thought on abolishing abortion. Wilberforce was a tireless worker, with tenacity, a backbone of steel and a jaw of flint. He looked at every person as being made in the image of God and that we were all valuable and equal; and that no man had the right to own another man, woman, or child. He was a man who had weaknesses but yet despite those weaknesses, he was one who made himself available to God to fight for true justice and equality and not just on slavery. He fought fiercely for those who had no voice. I want to do the same for ALL people, born and preborn.
An elected official should be one who fears God, is always impartial, always acts with full integrity, principled, always truthful, upholding justice and only justice, never perverting justice, never takes a bribe in any way shape or form. A leader who humbly seeks to be a servant to "We the people". Upholding their constitutional oath they took before God and never violating it or compromising it.
Born again Christian; Jesus is my Lord and Savior. He has saved me and changed me into a man who loves God and loves people. I want to serve people, specifically the citizens of our state and our nation. God strengthens me and calls me and equips me to be honest, impartial, with integrity, and to act justly. I am a very hard worker, analytical, problem solver, tenacious, zealous for what is right, and able to work with people.
Representation of the people within the boundaries of the U.S. Constitution and the Constitutional laws of the United States. Legislation, making laws within the boundaries of the Constitution. Also constituency services, and oversight and investigation.
To be remembered as a man who trusted, loved, and served God with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength. A man who also loved and served his neighbor; by loving and being the best husband, father, and grandfather I could be, and loving and serving people with my time and resources.
Bus boy at 15 years old; about 1 year before I was promoted
The Bible. It is my favorite book because it is from the Creator/God and tells us everything we need know about life and how to get to heaven, how to have eternal life, how to have a relationship with God. It is full of encouragement, guidance, wisdom, strength, and comfort.
Superman because he fought for truth, justice, and the American way. He always told the truth, was a man of integrity, and a servant to the people. He was kind and gentle, but yet very strong in character.
Legislative in power; they have the power to make laws that affect the entire country.
Yes, absolutely; I was a sworn officer of the court for over 28 years working as an auditor managing a broad variety of governmental programs. My governmental experience was indispensable when I was elected as a State Representative and helped me to hit the ground running and to be so effective. In addition, my experience as a legislator at the state level will help me to hit the ground running if elected to US Congress.
A secure Border and proper vetting processes being enforced; to stop the inflow of illegal immigrants, drugs, people being sex trafficked, and incoming terrorists. A balanced budget and movement toward reducing our national debt. Abolishing ALL abortion; every human being is created equal and has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as set out in our Declaration of Independence. Also, stopping the weaponization of the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the IRS against the US citizens.
No, 4 years. I have served 2 years as a state rep; it is not long enough to establish a foundation
There should be term limits on Congressional House and Senate members. Establishment incumbents become almost impossible to beat come election time.
US Congressional Representative Thomas Massie and US Senator Rand Paul, Kentucky
I helped to push legislation in Indiana called 'Baby Rivers' legislation. The parents of Baby Rivers thanked me for pushing to get legislation to protect all preborn babies from suffering the same fate as their baby. Their baby was born alive just prior to 24 weeks, however, because Indiana law did not require preemie care for babies born prior to 24 weeks, the hospital would not give life saving preemie care to their baby. Thus, their baby died in their arms a few hours later. However, the abortion law provided that any baby born alive during a failed abortion must be given life saving preemie care; no matter the age of the baby. Thus, I and another legislator pushed for legislation that would require ALL premature babies born alive to be given life saving preemie care. Within weeks of this legislation passing a friend called us late in the night because of a mother they knew that had just given premature birth to twin babies before 24 weeks; the hospital, allegedly, being ignorant to the law change would not give life saving care to the babies. I instructed the hospital of the law change and told them that they were required by law to give life saving care to the babies. After educating the hospital staff and pressing them, they did give preemie care to the babies; however, sadly, the babies still died. The mother was very thankful for me advocating for her children.
My wife tells me often during the course of our conversations, "just in case". I keep trying to tell her my name is John Jacob and I don't know why she can't get my name right; I told her my name is not Justin Case.
Yes, when it is not of a moral nature; but even within issues of a moral nature I believe we can be creative in legislation but still work and stay within the boundaries of what is right and constitutional.
I am a staunch fiscal conservative; It would give me a position by which I could press for tax cuts, reign in out of control government spending, and press for sound fiscal policy to restore our economy.
Article I, Section 8, Clause 18: [The Congress shall have Power . . . ] To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

Congress’s power to conduct investigations stands on equal footing with its authority to legislate and appropriate. Although the power of inquiry is not explicitly provided for in the Constitution, it has nonetheless been acknowledged as an essential and appropriate auxiliary to the legislative function derived implicitly from Article I’s vesting of legislative Powers in the Congress. Information related to legislative activity is critical as Congress cannot legislate wisely or effectively in the absence of information.
In addition, as Congress is empowered to obtain pertinent testimony and documents through investigations into nearly any matter; included within the scope of the power is the authority to initiate investigations, hold hearings, gather testimony or documents from witnesses, and, in situations where either a government or private party is not forthcoming, compel compliance with congressional requests through the issuance and enforcement of subpoenas.

Such Investigative powers should be used sparingly and never as a political weapon. It should always be applied without any partiality.
Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie and Former Indiana State Representative Curt Nisly
Judiciary and Homeland Security
Government should be accountable to the people; transparency and accountability is key. A government that chooses to operate in darkness, not letting the people know what they are doing, is a government that is most likely up to no good. Shining light on one's activities helps to keep them accountable when they know that all eyes are upon them and that there would be consequences to failed duty.

My name is John Jacob, and I am running for Republican State Representative in District 93. My wife, Angie, and I are lifetime south-siders. Together we have six grown children, and four living grandchildren. Angie and I have been saved by Jesus Christ and it is the most remarkable thing that has ever happened to us. He has forever changed our lives, and we are thankful to be able to serve side by side in His Church. Over the past thirty years, we have been active in many ministries, including marriage mentoring and counseling, leading small groups, street evangelism, housing and ministering to international students, as well as short-term mission trips. My work experience includes more than 28 years as a sworn officer of the court tasked with auditing state government spending. I understand what it takes to make government fiscally responsible and, as your Representative, I will work hard to enact policy that makes government more efficient and our lives all the happier. A few years ago, my wife and I made the decision to own our own business. We understand the hard work of small business owners and operators and the importance of small businesses to our state economy, and as your Representative, I will work hard to make it easier for small businesses to succeed.
Protection of Life:

God is the Author and Creator of all life. God created all human beings in His image. Every human life is a gift from the Creator. It is an irrefutable scientific fact that human life begins at conception.

In addition, Indiana law states that human life begins at conception. If you elect John as Representative, he will fight with every fiber of his being to protect these preborn children, those vulnerable to euthanasia, and assert our authority as a State given the Ninth Amendment, Tenth Amendment and the Declaration of Independence which acknowledges that every human is endowed by their Creator with the inalienable right to life! If elected as State Representative, John will co-author with Representative Curt Nisly's Protection at Conception bill to protect all life from conception to natural death; including the support for and passing of this critical bill.

The Right to Bear Arms: Without this recognized right, all other rights are essentially indefensible at the end of the day. John will unapologetically stand for and defend your right to keep and bear arms if elected as State Representative, to include the support for and passing of Constitutional Carry!

Fewer Taxes and Fees: John will NEVER vote to increase taxes. He will fight to lower taxes for hard-working Hoosiers and get rid of useless and un-Constitutional fees! For example, passing Constitutional Carry could save gun owners $4.9 million!

Scorecards

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
