John Knight (1871-1955) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of New York.
He received a recess appointment from President Herbert Hoover on March 18, 1931 to replace John Raymond Hazel. On December 15th of that year, he was nominated. He was confirmed by the Senate on January 6, 1932, and received commission on January 9th. From 1948 to 1955, he was the chief judge. He served on this court until his death on June 15, 1955. Knight was succeeded in this position by Justin Morgan.
