John L. DeMarco

John L. DeMarco is a judge of the Monroe County Court in New York. He has served in this position since 2010, following his election. He has also served as an Acting Justice of the Monroe County Supreme Court since 2010.[1][2]
Education
DeMarco received his B.S. degree from St. John Fisher College in 1982 and his J.D. degree from the California Western School of Law in 1985.[1]
Career
DeMarco began his career in 1986 as an Assistant Monroe County District Attorney. He then joined the law firm of Harris, Evan, Fox & Chesworth, working as a trial attorney from 1989 to 1995. He was a partner of the firm Hodgson, Russ, Andrews, Woods and Goodyear, LLP from 1995 to 1999 and of Phillips Lytle LLP from 1999 until joining the County Court in 2010. He also served as a municipal attorney for the Town of Irondequoit, NY from 1993 to 2001. He was elected Justice of the Irondequoit Town Court in 2001. He served in that position until he joined the Monroe County Court in 2010.[1][3]
