John L. Michalski
John L. Michalski was a justice of the Erie County Supreme Court in the 8th Judicial District of New York. He served on the court from 2006 to 2022.[1]
Michalski died on April 5, 2022.[2]
Education
Michalski received his B.A. degree from the State University of New York in 1983 and his J.D. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School in 1987.[1]
Career
Michalski began his career in 1987, working in the Erie County District Attorney's Office. He then became a partner of the law firm of Snyder & Michalski in 1991. He worked in this capacity until 2006. He was also an Amherst Town Prosecutor from 2000 to 2006. He began his judicial career in 2006, when he was appointed a judge of the New York Court of Claims and an acted as a justice of the Supreme Court.[1]
