John Lebeaux was the Massachusetts Commissioner of Agriculture. Lebeaux assumed office on February 6, 2015. Lebeaux left office on March 6, 2023.

Biography

Lebeaux worked for his family's nursery and landscaping business as a student and rejoined as its general manager for 26 years, after working for four years as an Urban Horticulturist in New York City. Lebeaux spent two terms as President of the Massachusetts Nursery and Landscape Association, and has been a Massachusetts Certified Horticulturist since 1983.

Lebeaux is a six-term Selectman in the Town of Shrewsbury and is a Charter Member of the Shrewsbury Farmers Market Steering Committee. He also served nine years as a member of the Massachusetts Board of Food and Agriculture, as well as for nine years as a public member of the Massachusetts Water Resources Commission.

Prior to his appointment as commissioner, Lebeaux served as town administrator of the town of Princeton, Massachusetts.[1]
