Campaign themes
2014
Lymanstall's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[1]
Education
- Excerpt: "I believe education is a critical issue because it drives Ohio’s economy. We must strengthen public education, including a re-evaluation of how we fund our schools. We need to study whether our current funding formula is appropriately balanced with state and local dollars. I am opposed to charter schools and the notion that millions of Ohio’s tax revenue is going to private charter schools."
Economy
- Excerpt: "I believe it is important for Ohio to attract businesses in the emerging technologies and to support the many small business owners who have operations in this District to enable them to adapt as economies progress and develop. Some methods to make Ohio attractive include streamlining regulations, rethinking our tax structure, and providing an educated populace to emerging businesses and industries."
Right To Bear Arms
- Excerpt: "I support the rights afforded to individuals under the Second Amendment and am a gun owner. I believe that personal responsibility and education go hand-and-hand with these rights. I am not a hunter, but allow many of my neighbors to hunt in my 25-acre woods. Often I am working in my barn when someone is hunting. I can tell who is a good shot and who is not."
Agriculture
- Excerpt: "We must protect northwest Ohio’s rich farmland and support the family farm and agribusiness. I will see that any proposed legislation will meet these objectives."
