I'm a machinist, a farmer, a husband, and a father.

Currently, I serve as a Fire Commissioner for South Pierce Fire and Rescue and as a Director for Washington State Fire Commissioners Association Position 7, which covers both Pierce and Thurston Counties. This dual role has given me a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and needs of our first responders and the broader community.

I have a Master's Degree in Work and Labor Policies, complimented by an advanced certificate in Workforce Development. my vision is to expand registered apprenticeship programs to align with the shifting demands of occupations and future employment landscapes.

I also volunteers as the Market Sale Manager for both the Pierce County Fair, and the Pierce County Fair Foundation. these are important to me because its a way to help to mentor the development of our youth through 4-H and FFA programs and initiatives.

In my spare time, I like to manage his our farm where we raises show-quality sheep and pigs. Through my farming work, I'm able to impart invaluable lessons in animal husbandry, fiscal responsibility, and resource management to our young people.
  • I will develop constructive relationships between marginalized groups and communities to make community engagement not only desirable, but necessary and viable. This will lead to more equitable, sustainable public decisions and improve the lives of the communities that I will be representing and serving
  • Our government is hoping for a third airport in our back yard, while still allowing the homelessness and affordable housing crisis to boil into disaster. Our Farms are being squeezed out by development. I believe in quiet progress emphasizing steady persistence growth that offers a more sustainable and resilient path to success for all.
  • I received an advanced certificate in Workforce Development to support moderate growth in living wage sustainable jobs. As our area changes so do the jobs and we need to have training programs to quickly adapt while maintaining our tranquil farm environment.
Living Wage jobs, Homelessness, Public Health and Human Services for all.
I have a few books that have shaped my philosophy like Eric Loomis, Out of sight. Martin Ford, Rise of the Robots. Les Leopold, Runaway Inequality. David Weil The Fissured Workplace and Charles L. Cochran- Eloise F. Malone, Public Policy, Perspectives and Choices.
My first job other than a paper route was working in the restaurant industry. I started out at the Poodle Dog in Fife. I worked there for about a year and then worked at other various restaurants. It taught me how to organize and do many things at one time.
My all Time Favorite book is Johnathan Livingston seagull, by Richard Bach. The book’s portrayal of going after what you love, even if it means leaving behind people who don’t understand. It’s message tells us to follow your passion, even when you are afraid . Don't worry how you might be judged by others.
I do believe it helps to have held an office prior to this because it will give you an understanding on how government works or doesn't work. I am currently a Fire Commissioner for South Pierce Fire and Rescue , as well as a region 7 director for Washington State Fire Commissioners.
Ive been endorsed by labor and Democratic Party along with four PC commissioners, and one of our state senators.
