John M. "Mike" Swanson is a judge on the 143rd District Court in Texas. He was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott (R) on August 14, 2015. He replaced Judge Bob Parks, who passed away in June 2015.[1] Swanson won election to a four-year term on November 8, 2016.

Education

Swanson received a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and a J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law.[1]

Career

Prior to becoming a judge, Swanson was a solo practitioner for 19 years.[1]
