John MacKenzie (Virginia)
John Ashton MacKenzie (1917-2010) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.[1]
MacKenzie was nominated by President Lyndon Johnson on July 17, 1967, to a new seat created by 80 Stat. 75; he was confirmed by the Senate on August 18, 1967, and received commission on August 25. He served as chief judge from 1979 until he assumed senior status on November 30, 1985. He retired on January 30, 1998.[1]
