Four of the seven seats on the Glynn County Board of Education were up for general election on November 8, 2016. A primary election was held on May 24, 2016. District 1 incumbent Ingrid Metz lost to Marcus Edgy in the Republican primary. Linda Bobbitt defeated John Perry II in the Democratic primary in District 5. Bobbitt won election to the board against Republican candidate Sandy Dean in the general election. Edgy, At-large Post 2 incumbent Jerry Mancil (R), and District 3 incumbent John Madala (R) won without opposition in the general election.[1]
