John Mallozi
John Mallozi was a Democratic candidate in the April 12, 2011 special election for the Connecticut House of Representatives, District 64. After Mallozi did not receive the Democratic nomination, he secured a place on the ballot as a petitioning candidate.[1] Mallozi was running to fill the vacancy created when Carlo Leone (D) won election to the Connecticut State Senate, District 27 in a February 22 special election.
Mallozi served on each of the city of Stamford's three elective boards. In addition, he served on the city's 1995 Charter Review Commission.[1]

Mallozi stated that he would focus on improving mass transit and fixing the state's tax structure. He further stated, "I'm not afraid to act up sometimes to save money...If it's necessary, I'll fight for it. I'm not tired, I'm not stale and I'm ready to move forward."[1]

Mallozi was defeated by Dan Fox (D) in the April 12, 2011 special election. Charles Pia Jr. (R), Rolf Maurer (G), and Monique Thomas (I) also ran.[1][2]
