John Maurer

John Maurer is a judge on the 56th Circuit Court in Michigan. He was appointed by Republican Governor Rick Snyder on May 2, 2016, to succeed recently retired Judge Jeffrey Sauter. Maurer must run for election in 2018 in order to serve out the remainder of Sauter's term, which expires in 2020.[1]
Biography
Maurer received a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University in 1985 and a J.D. from Cooley Law School in 1988. He worked for the law firm of Deming & Maurer for 20 years before joining the Clinton County Prosecuting Attorney's Office in 2015.[1]
