2016
McCrostie's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[12]
Education
- Excerpt: "I support efforts to improve early childhood learning and to ensure that all Idaho students can read at grade level by 3rd grade. I will also fight for a full implementation of the Governor’s Education Task Force recommendations."
Equality
- Excerpt: "I believe that workers should be evaluated on the quality of their work and not external factors like gender, race, or sexual orientation. I will work to protect and improve the rights of women, of people with disabilities, of people from different racial backgrounds, and the LGBT community."
Economy
- Excerpt: "I believe that in order to attract new businesses to Idaho, we must reinvest in our schools and in our youth. Further, I support increasing the pay for minimum wage workers to stimulate the economy and to improve the quality of life for some of our hardest working citizens."
2014
McCrostie submitted the following statement to Ballotpedia:[1]
“ | My top three priorities are improving our policies on education, equality, and the economy.
I will fight for increased state public education funding and a full implementation of the Governor's Education Task Force recommendations. I will fight for Add the Words to get a hearing and passed. The community outcry is strong for this. To improve our economy, I believe that if we can improve our policies on education and equality, we can attract the right kinds of companies into our state that can provide livable wage jobs for hard-working Idaho families.[13] |

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
