John McEneny
John McEneny (b. August 30, 1943) is a former Democratic member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 104 from 1993 to 2013.
McEneny served as the acting speaker pro tempore and historian for the New York State Assembly; a member of the executive committee for the Albany County Democratic Committee; and he also volunteers in campaigns for Democratic candidates. His past political experiences also include county legislator for Albany County Legislator and campaign a manager.
Biography
McEneny earned his B.A. in history from Siena College; a certificate in community development from New Mexico State University; graduate credits from College of Saint Rose; and a certificate in public administration from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government.[1]
McEneny's professional experience includes chief of staff; district and county legislator; assistant county executive; assistant director; director for various departments and programs; commissioner of the Department of Human Resources for the City of Albany; district manager for the United States Census Bureau; teacher; volunteer and social services caseworker and counselor.[1]

McEneny ran unopposed in the September 14 Democratic primary. He defeated Deborah Busch (R) in the general election on November 2.[2] In addition to running on the Democratic ticket, he was also listed as a candidate of the Independence Party of New York State and Working Families Party.
