Being Pro Life is more than a statement or a slogan, it is the understanding that ALL life is precious, begins at conception, and is a gift from God. John fully supports the heartbeat bill, will work to create a state challenge to Roe vs Wade and believes that our unborn children should be a protected class with full civil rights.
Adoption Reform:
As a Foster Parent and Adoptive Parent John has seen the bureaucracy in the current system, John will work to implement reforms in both these programs to make a difference in the lives of the 5,000 children that depend on this system at any given time. Our children are our most precious resource and we must protect, nurture and raise them into productive Tennesseans.
Second Amendment Freedom:
A citizen of the United States should not have to rent their right to exercise a freedom granted by God and codified in the US Constitution. John will work to replace the patchwork of firearms laws and infringements in Tennessee law with a simpler law that if you are permitted to buy it, you are permitted to possess it.
