John Meyers is a former at-large representative on the Sioux City Community School District School Board in Iowa. The seat was up for general election on September 8, 2015. He lost the election but was appointed to the board on September 18, 2015, after Paul Speidel resigned in August 2015.[1][2][3]

Meyers is retired as the director of finance for Sioux City. He previously served on the school board from 2007 until 2013 when he decided not to run for re-election. Meyers obtained his bachelor's degree in political science major from Loras College. He went on to earn his master's degree in public administration from the University of Iowa.[4][5]
