John Michael Galasso is a justice of the Nassau County Supreme Court in the 10th Judicial District of New York. He has served on the court as an acting justice since 2004.[1] Galasso was elected as a justice of the New York Supreme Court 10th Judicial District in 2013. He took office the following January for a term that expires December 31, 2028.[2]

Education

Galasso received his B.A. from Long Island University, C.W. Post College campus, in 1966. In 1969, he earned his J.D. from St. John's University, School of Law.[1]

2013 election

Galasso ran for election to the Supreme Court 10th Judicial District. General: He was elected in the general election on November 5, 2013, with 24.27 percent of the vote. Paul E. Hennings, Matthew G. Hughes, Arthur G. Pitts, David T. Reilly, Gary J. Weber and Hope Schwartz Zimmerman were also on the ballot, competing for four open seats.[3][4][5]
