John J. Molaison Jr. (Republican Party) is a judge for the 1st District of the Louisiana 5th Circuit Court of Appeal. He assumed office on January 1, 2019. His current term ends on December 31, 2032.
Molaison (Republican Party) won re-election for the 1st District judge of the Louisiana 5th Circuit Court of Appeal outright in the primary on November 8, 2022, after the primary and general election were canceled.
Molaison was a judge of the 24th Judicial District in Louisiana from 2007 to 2018. He presided over Division E. He served as chief judge from 2011 to 2018.[1][2][3]
Education
Molaison received his undergraduate degree from Loyola University New Orleans in 1983 and his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 1986.[4]
