John Montgomery (Texas)
John Montgomery was a member of the Allen Independent School District in Texas, representing Place 3. Montgomery assumed office in 2015. Montgomery left office on July 23, 2019.
Montgomery ran for re-election to the Allen Independent School District to represent Place 3 in Texas. Montgomery won in the general election on May 5, 2018.
Montgomery resigned from the board on July 23, 2019.[1]
Biography
Montgomery is the director of global security services for Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS). He has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Texas State University. He has done graduate work at Central Michigan University and completed the Executive Education Program at the University of Pennsylvania – Wharton School. His wife, Polly, is a retired Allen ISD administrator.[2]

2015
The general election on May 9, 2015, in the Allen Independent School District featured three seats up for election. In the Place 2 race, incumbent Carl Clemencich Jr. defeated challenger Ron Austin. Place 3 incumbent Jason Shepard did not file for re-election, and three challengers — Christine Caplinger, John Montgomery and Latricia Smith — filed to replace him. Montgomery was successful in that race. Place 1 incumbent Susan Olinger ran unopposed.
