|He was born into a big Irish family based in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and was raised by his mom and stepfather. They instilled in him the importance of giving back to his community. His mother was an avid volunteer for many organizations. His stepfather was an elected County Tax Collector for over 20 years. Their home was a welcoming place for all in their community. John grew up understanding that living in a neighborhood means giving back to it.
From the Polish Triangle to Orchard Park to Copley Square to the South End, John Moran wants to represent all residents of Massachusetts House of Representatives’ 9th Suffolk district on Beacon Hill.
For John, every constituent is a neighbor and working to help his neighbors and fighting for what’s right is a lifelong calling.
- Fight for more affordable housing ownership and rentals and combat displacement
- Combat the humanitarian crisis facing so many of our neighbors that are suffering with drug addiction and homelessness
- Protect Reproductive Justice & LGBTQ+ Rights – Be a champion for the LGBTQ+ community & collaborate with partners to achieve reproductive equity to ensure access to abortion care for all Massachusetts residents
