John Morgan Davis (Pennsylvania)
John Davis (1906-1984) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Davis received a recess appointment from President Lyndon Johnson on January 7, 1964, to a seat vacated by Thomas Egan; he was nominated on February 3, 1964, confirmed by the Senate on March 14, 1964, and received commission three days later.[1] He assumed senior status on May 6, 1974, and served in that capacity until his death on March 8, 1984. Davis was succeeded in this position by Edward Cahn.
