Campaign themes
2016
Morning issued the following statement regarding his bid for office:
“ | We are all fed up with our political leaders in Washington D.C. It seems like every day there is another scandal or a piece of legislation passed that helps a lobbyist but not the American People. Our politicians continually make backroom deals in the dark of night, selling out the American people while they line their own pockets.
Why would anyone want to spend 20 years in Washington DC? Are they there for the people or for themselves? Politicians seem to represent themselves and special interests and not the voters they were sent there to represent. Frankly, I have had enough. I voted, I called, I wrote. Nothing Changes. Even as I served in the military and went off to war, I always thought that I served so others would not have to face the horrors of combat. I am doing this now, so others won’t have to. When I made my decision, I asked myself, “If not me, who? If not now, when?” I am in the race. I am in to win. [4] |
