An effort to recall selectmen John Morrissey and Berta Bruinooge in Wellfleet, Massachusetts from their positions was launched in late 2013. At issue was the officials' support of a pay-as-you-throw trash disposal program. Recall proponents failed to collect the number of signatures required to trigger a recall election.[1]
