John Moulds
John F. Moulds was a recalled federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. He worked as a part-time judge on this court from January of 1983 to December of 1985 before he was appointed to a full-time position on January 6, 1986.[1] He was recalled to service in 2004.[2]
Education
Judge Moulds received his A.B. degree from Sacramento State College in 1960 and his J.D. degree from the University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law in 1966. During law school, he worked as a research analyst for a Senate Fact-finding Committee on Education (1960-1961) and an administrative assistant to State Senator Albert Rodda (1961-1963).[1]
Career
After graduating from law school in 1966, John Moulds joined California Rural Legal Assistance as an attorney. He then joined Sacramento County Legal Aid in 1968. Later that year, he became the Directing Attorney of the Sacramento Valley offices of California Rural Legal Assistance. He then worked as a partner in the firm Isenberg, Moulds and Samuel until 1984, when it became Isenberg, Moulds and Hemmer. He worked with this firm through 1985. He then became a full-time magistrate judge.[1]
