John Joseph O'Connell (1894-1949) was a federal judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit.

O'Connell was nominated by President Harry Truman on September 12, 1945, to a new seat created by 58 Stat. 796; he was confirmed by the Senate on October 3, 1945, and received commission on October 11th. He served until his death on December 16, 1949.[1]
