John Paul Moran, a leader forging an exciting new political movement for America, will fight for Unity, Liberty and Opportunity for citizens of all backgrounds, ages, races, beliefs and lifestyles when elected to the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District - Opportunity for ALL. See more at: www.JohnPaulMoran.com

An unconventional candidate, John Paul is a gay Republican with a large extended family in New England and from coast to coast. John Paul draws his credentials from his American dream as a lifelong entrepreneur and business owner, MIT space telescope scientist, Boston University MBA, digital marketer, author, NCAA track athlete, youth surfing brand creator, artist, musician, Massachusetts Realtor, and founder of the nonprofit, Grand Opportunity USA "GOUSA". His diverse background and life experiences guarantee that he will be a strong and independent voice in the House of Representatives.

As proposed in his 2016 book, "Cues for Conservatives - How to Engage the Millennial Generation and Unite the Conservative Movement", Moran proposes a fresh new brand update for the GOP from the "Grand Old Party" to the new "Grand Opportunity Party" to reach and engage a younger and more diverse electorate for the 21st century.
  • John Paul Moran is running for Congress challenging Democrat Seth Moulton to tackle the most pressing issues facing the 6th District, our state and our country. "We need political diversity in the Commonwealth in our current one-party state, an independent thinker and common sense leadership. As a lifelong business owner, former MIT scientist, author and gay pro-family Republican, I will be that voice. As your next Congressional representative, I will deliver Unity, Liberty and Opportunity for ALL."
  • Jobs & Economy: I will fight to bring jobs back to our district from China and overseas, lower taxes, grow the economy, and sustain our small businesses.
  • Security: As a critical function of government, we must secure our communities by supporting and funding our police, military and public safety officials.
I believe that Massachusetts deserves a Congress person who will work for all of the people, instead of only those of his own party, self enrichment and the next step on the political ladder, as exemplified by our current Congressman.

Currently, there are NO Republicans in Congress in all of New England, and we haven't had a GOP Congress member from Massachusetts for a quarter century. We must end the corrupt one-party state. The Democrats have a complete governing monopoly - something that is not good for businesses, not good for the taxpayers, and not good for the country.

I strongly support lower taxes, growing our economy and jobs, free market solutions for better and more affordable healthcare, choice in education, defending our Constitutional liberties and freedoms, securing our borders, a strong national defense, science-based environmental protections, and bringing a younger and more diverse voter base to participate. We must provide safe communities by fully supporting our police and first responders.

Government should be in the business of providing Unity, Liberty and Opportunity, in the areas of:

- Personal Opportunity
- Economic Opportunity
- Social Opportunity
- Educational Opportunity

- National Opportunity
I look up to many American patriots, our founding fathers, many Catholic Popes, and others in history that inspired and forged our liberties and freedoms. I would like to follow the example of President Thomas Jefferson. President Jefferson was the author of the Declaration of Independence and the third U.S. president, and helped from the character of our Republic.
Integrity, honesty, faithfulness to the district and country, love of country, core principals of defending our Constitution and protecting our liberties and freedoms, including economic freedom, and opposing authoritarian socialism.
Honesty, integrity, creativity, independent thinker, hard worker, deep thinker, compassionate, pro-America conservative.
My first job after college was at MIT Lincoln Laboratory at Hanscom AFB in Lexington, MA, where I worked as an Optical Scientist, on a team that designed and built an advanced space-based telescope for the US Air Force, and it was deployed successfully in space to support our US forces in the field. I held this job for 5 years.
No, because of rampant corruption in Congress, it is much more beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in business or other professions outside of government.
Our greatest challenge is fighting the radical progressives from within our borders and globally who's goal is to tear down our free, liberal republic and remake America into an authoritarian, socialist one-party state. Our other challenges are re-growing our economy after the long government imposed lockdown, international trade imbalances, geopolitical threats from Communist China and elsewhere, bio-terrorism and future pandemics, the dismantling of the nuclear family and the failure of education in America.
I will form a new committee: Defense of Small Business

Economic Growth, Tax and Capital Access
Space and Aeronautics
Research and Technology
Civil Rights and Civil Liberties
Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security
Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection and Innovation

Intelligence, Emerging Threats and Capabilities
I believe that four year terms would be the right length for representatives.
I believe in Congressional term limits: 3 terms for the House, 2 terms for the Senate.
