Campaign website

Prabhudoss’s campaign website stated the following:

PARENTAL EMPOWERMENT IN EDUCATION

I believe parents and local school boards, through community engagement, are best equipped to determine appropriate curricula, standards, and use of funds for their schools. I will work to implement policies giving parents more control over how the school funds are utilized and not the Federal government. This approach fosters cooperation and balances local accountability with the need for funding equity across districts. Empowering the voices most invested in our schools – parents and their boards – is key to giving our next generation the tools to succeed.

SUPPORTING OUR TROOPS

Our Military personnel need the most comprehensive and advanced Veteran care services. Issues such as PTSD are causing serious problems in families. We need to think out of the box to improve care. We need to invest more in recruitment and increase support of strategic readiness. We should let the military commander make their decisions while keeping politics out.

HELPING SMALL BUSINESSES

Small businesses face unfair disadvantages competing against large corporations, who impose unreasonable contract demands that are difficult to contest. Plumbers, electricians, HVAC, and neighborhood hardware and retail stores are the backbone of our communities.

I am the ONLY candidate with small business experience in this race! I have generated hundreds of local jobs in Virginia over the last 35 years. I know what small businesses can do to our economy. I also know what they go through to survive and thrive.

I propose a small business TAX CUT.

Income Tax reductions given to large corporations will benefit only a handful of companies. But Income Tax reduction to small businesses benefits everyone in the community.

Small businesses spearhead the local economies, and they help neighborhoods thrive. I will not only support small businesses but also offer tools for them to prosper.

I propose innovative Income Tax reductions for small businesses over the next 5 to 10 years.

In Congress, I will support legislation that levels the playing field by providing small business owners with affordable legal services and a dedicated advocacy office to investigate predatory practices. With the right support, small businesses can thrive and continue driving local innovation.

SLASHING YOUR TAXES

In Congress, I will work towards reducing federal taxes on medium and lower-income families while opposing any attempt to increase the taxes.

PROTECTING SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS

Social Security is a covenant made by our government to us. I would not vote to reduce the benefits or change the promises made. At the same time, people should have the freedom to make their own choices. I support an opt-in or a hybrid model for future Social Security participants.

FIXING A FAILED TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE

Our nation’s roads and railway infrastructures are aging and failing our people. The gridlock experienced by every driver in the Washington DC metro area is unacceptable for a developed nation like ours and I’m going to fix it! It’s not just an annoying inconvenience, but it holds back productivity and even takes us away from spending time with our families. When I go to Washington the excuses end on day one!

I will fund an integrated transportation infrastructure improvement for the Washington area that is second to none in the world.

SECURING THE BORDERS & IMMIGRATION

America is a country of immigrants and people like Albert Einstein, Elon Musk and Melania Trump are all immigrants who made and continue to make our country proud. That doesn’t mean we should have open and unregulated borders. It’s neglectful and abusive to our citizens and residents who are here legally and contributing. It’s also dangerous. We won’t have to tolerate any more excuses or stand by while our country is invaded.

I will build the wall, but that will be just one part of my approach and fix the broken immigration system!

A NEW VISION FOR NATIONAL SECURITY DOCTRINE

America’s national security doctrine needs an overhaul and it needs it NOW! The existing policy of funding and arming dictators, tyrants, and despots whenever it suits us and then bombing them when it doesn’t, is not a sound national security policy. It has made us less safe.

For example, our policies towards a communist China for the past 50 years have resulted in that country challenging America in every sphere.

America’s policies in Afghanistan and Central Asia brought us 9/11 while our policies in SE Asia have not stopped North Korea from developing Nuclear Weapons. Our policies in Nigeria and the rest of West Africa have only exhausted the goodwill we enjoyed. Our policies in South America have destabilized many nations and created a massive wave of invaders who are coming here to burden the taxpayers and our infrastructure.

I will bring a new national security doctrine grounded in the values we preach and unapologetically puts us first. It starts day one if you elect me to represent you. [2]

John Prabhudoss, the youngest child of a preacher, is a moderate Republican who has been living in Virginia for the past 20 years. He is an entrepreneur who has opened and operated several small businesses, from software consulting to retail and restaurant businesses, over the past 20 years.

He works with various evangelical and mainline church organizations on a range of issues. He has traveled extensively to Asia, the Middle East, and Africa to study how America’s domestic and foreign policies affect their lives and what kind of impact it has on American families back here.

For the past three decades, he has worked with Members of Congress on various economic, financial, and social justice issues that affect every American family besides issues affecting America’s national security interests.

As a leader embraced by diverse ethnic, religious, and political groups, John brings people together through a common sense, non-compromising approach. He will continue this important work as the author of a forthcoming book about the intersection of faith, politics and history, set to be published in February 2024.
  • Parents should have a greater say in what schools teach their children and how the schools should be run
  • America's solemn promise to its veterans must be kept at all cost
  • Comprehensive transport infrastructure for the nation's capital region and affordable housing.

Reducing federal taxes, efficient and comprehensive transport for commuters in the nation's capital region, inclusive growth, affordable housing, and restoring American value in our foreign policy to make it work for American families once again.
Ronald Reagan. He always rose to the occasion. by giving guidance and leadership in the hour of need several times.
Inclusive Leadership and over 30 years of starting and running small businesses.
To take care of the needs of the constituents and help generate sufficient job opportunities in the district for the youth.

Preserving America's leadership while educating our children sufficiently enough so we don't have to depend on other countries to meet our demand for a quality workforce.
