An effort to recall John Prinkki and Joe Kern from their positions on the Beartooth Electric Cooperative in Montana resulted in both officials resigning in January 2012.[1]
Background
A group of co-op customers and members calling itself FixBEC gathered 330 signatures in an attempt to force a recall election against Prinkki and Kern. The recall supporters alleged that the recall targets had failed to meet their fiduciary responsibilities. Prinkki and Kern resigned because they did not want to pay attorney fees to fight the allegations against them.
