John R. Fisher is a judge on senior status with the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. President George W. Bush (R) appointed Fisher to the court in 2005.[1] Fisher retired from the court on August 22, 2020, and assumed senior status the following day.[1][2]
Education
Fisher received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College in 1968 and his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1974.[1]

Fisher enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in South Vietnam.[1]
