John Robbins' retirement will leave open seat in 2012 election
August 29, 2011
Arkansas: Judge John Robbins has announced his retirement from the bench, at the end of his current term in 2012. This means that there will be at least three races for the Arkansas Court of Appeals in next year's election.
Robbins has served the court since 1992. Prior that that, he was Chancellor and Probate Judge for the Eighteenth East Circuit Court.[1]
In a press release, Robbins said, "It has been a privilege and an honor to serve for these many years. I sincerely appreciate the support of the citizens within my district that made this possible and earnestly hope I have made a positive contribution to the court.”[2]
