Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

My name is John R Badger I am from District 5 where I was born and raised I am not a rich candidate nor am I trying to get rich off the backs of District 5 fellow citizens I'm not running this race in vain I'm running to make a change I am a candidate that knows what it feels like to live on food stamps Social Security public housing and I know that that alone is a broken system I am also a candidate that learned from from years of research how to bring in max amount of dollars to small businesses inside of District 5 during this time of grief that we stand in the midst of during the Coronavirus I am a candidate that knows how it feels to be homeless that also knows how it feel to be hungry my concern is to make sure every man woman and children have a bite to eat and bed to sleep in here in District 5 and someday hopefully all over the world I am a candidate that also have Stood Beside the man in women in blue and know from personal experience that they can use extra resources an updated material to complete their tasks in their everyday duties and still remain safe and can return home to their families and friends I want to shake up our prison systems and strengthen them so that no more prisoners what died in the hands of a correctional officer or another prisoner that's my fight District 5 and I need you to help me win it

• You can't build a home out of Ashes but you can blow them away and begin Anew Foundation here in District 5 and someday all over the world it's time that Louisiana live up to it's name let's make it beautiful again
• My promise is to devote myself to every one in District 5 not one party not One race not one sex but for together we stand divided we fall
• If I feed District 5 you will only eat as long as I survive but if I teach you how to sew a seed you can share that with your family and friends and forever your generation to come will grow and thrive on the knowledge I put in place for you

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I'm not concerned about politics I'm concerned about District 5 needs that need to be met I'm concerned about the division of the world today I know I can't make everyone change but if I can change one person I'll consider that a job well done that's my passionate

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

I must say I look up to the Hills from which cometh my help and my help comes from on high I would like to follow his footsteps because he is a inspiration in my life and he knows what I don't know and we District 5 needs me I'll look to him for a answer

Is there a book, essay, film, or something else you would recommend to someone who wants to understand your political philosophy?

Not at this time

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

I'm a great listener I'm a great provider I carry-out the needs of anyone that have Rich out to me in the past present and they can Bank on me being that same person in the future

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

To do the work of District 5 that need to be done there are a lot of things that the people will love to see them and I personally would love to try to reach all the goals that the people have for me to do I won't make any promises but I will do my best to see them through

What legacy would you like to leave?

A man of understanding a congressman that carry out my duties of the people I would like for people to remember me as being a loving kind person that will help anyone in need regardless to who they are a what party they represent

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

I have to be the flood in 2006 that touch my heart for three days I didn't sleep making sure the people in my community have food and water and that the water did not hurt them until help arrived

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

My first job was the communities I've District 5 during the floods of 2006 I am still currently on that job to make sure that no one be left behind

What is your favorite book? Why?

If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?

The next president of the United States

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

You can't beat God's giving no matter how you try

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

I will not answer this question at this time but when win congressman that will be a statement that will answer this question

What qualities does the U.S. House of Representatives possess that makes it unique as an institution?

They can have many qualities if they can learn to get along what their fellow man and do things for the people of the district and not themselves

Do you believe that it's beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics?

I won't say until I look further into that

What do you perceive to be the United States’ greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?

We'll have to see when that day come I don't like to speculate

If you are not a current representative, are there certain committees that you would want to be a part of?

Most definitely

Do you believe that two years is the right term length for representatives?

It's a possibility if you do the work of the people and again not we ourselves

What are your thoughts on term limits?

I will leave this question to the people of District 5

If you are not currently a member of your party’s leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives, would you be interested in joining the leadership? If so, in what role?

Any role that's available I will accept it and I will do my best at it

Is there a particular representative, past or present, whom you want to model yourself after?

That have been a lot of great people in the past in prison that have done things their way we are all our own people and we all have different goals that we would like to reach I will have to say no I'm my own person and I will be working for the goals of District 5 I would like to model myself and the roles they wish for me to take

Both sitting representatives and candidates for office hear many personal stories from the residents of their district. Is there a story that you’ve heard that you found particularly touching, memorable, or impactful?

I really have not enable to getting to such things as that so far but I will be looking out from this point on for that
