John Rogers, Jr.
John Rogers, Jr. held the District 3 seat on the Iredell-Statesville school board in North Carolina. He was initially elected to the chamber in 2006 and lost re-election on May 6, 2014. District 3 includes East Iredell Elementary School, Pressly Elementary School, Statesville Middle School, Statesville High School, Northview Elementary School, CCTL, N.B. Mills Elementary School, the Visual & Performing Arts Center and shares Monticello School.[1]
Biography
Rogers graduated from Statesville High School in 1967. He earned an Associate's degree from Mitchell Community College in 1967 and earned a Bachelor's degree in social science from Appalachian State University in 1969. He earned an M.A. in Reading Education in 1980 and an Ed.S in Reading Education in 1984. Rogers taught in Rowan-Salisbury Schools from 1969 until 2004.[2]
